Project Overview
Expanding the regional water grid required crossing a critical environmental watershed. Traditional open-cut trenching was strictly prohibited by environmental agencies. UrbanCore was contracted to execute a trenchless solution.

Challenges & Constraints
The sub-surface geology consisted of fractured shale and solid granite shelves, making drill navigation highly volatile. Any frac-out (drilling fluid escaping to the river) would result in immediate project shutdown and severe fines.

Execution & Oversight
UrbanCore utilized advanced rock-boring HDD rigs. Our oversight team established a rigorous environmental monitoring protocol, with inspectors stationed continuously along the bore path. We successfully pulled the 24-inch HDPE pipe through the completed bore without a single fluid release.
