Municipal Fleet EV Hub Transition

Municipal Fleet EV Hub Transition Projects Projects Project Overview With the city mandating a zero-emission transit fleet by 2030, the Westside Depot required a complete electrical and civil overhaul. UrbanCore served as the primary civil infrastructure contractor to prepare the site for high-voltage EV hardware. Challenges & Constraints The depot had to remain 100% operational for existing diesel buses during the entire construction phase. Furthermore, the massive power draw required extensive trenching for new high-voltage duct banks connecting to the municipal grid. Execution & Oversight We phased the civil site development in localized grids. Our crews handled mass excavation, poured engineered concrete transformer pads, and installed miles of subterranean electrical conduit, while our QA/QC team ensured all structural elements met strict heavy-load requirements for transit vehicles.
